A Family Affair

As a single mother of three, Nathalie Norris worked hard to support her family. When it came time to retire, she would receive less than men. By today’s standards, that’s clearly illegal; but back then, it wasn’t so obvious. Nathalie took her case all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States where she won a bitter-sweet victory. The Court ruled that while Nathalie’s benefits would remain the same, they would be equal for women retiring after the Court’s decision.

Nathalie was Steve’s grandmother, and he strives to continue her legacy in his advocacy for employees.
