The Equal Pay Act, Including 2023 Pay Transparency Requirements

Back in 1923, the Equal Rights Amendment was proposed for inclusion in the U.S. Constitution. The Amendment was to ensure that “[e]quality of rights under the law shall not be denied… on account of sex.” Fast forward 100 years, and it’s still being considered.

However, several laws have moved toward women’s equity, including the Equal Pay Act. In this 5-minute video, I talk about the Act, where it came from, and new rules requiring employers to be open about how much they pay their workers.
